Christopher K. Gilbert is the founder and principal of The Gilbert Law
Firm. Chris' practice consists primarily of personal injury matters, including serious motorcycle, automobile, trucking and
drunken driving accidents; chemical plant, refinery, industrial, and
offshore accidents; pharmaceutical, medical device, and medical malpractice
litigation; and all other catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.
Chris also represents consumers in class action
litigation. He is also a Legal Services Panel attorney with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots
Association, representing member pilots in FAA administrative actions as
well as other aviation-related matters.
Chris is a 1995 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated
in 1998 from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, MS. After law
school, Chris served as a law clerk to the Honorable Bruce C. Bennett in the
21st Judicial District of Louisiana. Over the next several years, Chris
gained experience working in major oil and gas corporations and blue chip
litigation firms, including with one of the most successful
trial firms in the United States. Chris has handled cases involving single clients to mass torts
involving thousands of clients.
Chris is a member of the State Bar of Texas; College of The State Bar of Texas; Texas Trial Lawyers Association; Houston Trial Lawyers Association; National Association of Consumer Advocates; Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association; Seaplane Pilots Association; and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He is admitted to practice in Texas, New York, and Colorado state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts in Southern and Eastern Districts, Texas, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Supreme Court.
He is also an FAA licensed commercial pilot, and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from
1990 to 1997.
